      <description>hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What about defragmentation on Linux?&lt;BR /&gt;It seems ext3 and most other opensource file systems don't need defragmenting and defragments itself on the fly.</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Frankly, I've never had the need to do this. ext3 is superior to NTFS and does not fragment.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But if you must defragment and want the small boost you get, you can always periodically back up, recreate the filesystem and restore.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
