    <description>I think it does &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;there is an entry in terminfo &lt;BR /&gt;also the command &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;locate hpterm &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;find this entry on a RH 9 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/share/terminfo/X/X-hpterm&lt;BR /&gt;/usr/share/terminfo/h/hpterm&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and the man terminfo is full of reference to the hpterm and hpterm like term &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I can not check this as I dont have an hpterm, but after all the above I do not see why not&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jean-Pierre</description>

      <description>hpterm won't work on Linux as it is based on a very very old architecture.  There are many dependencies on X11R4 (anybody remember that release) and proprietary technology that still has not been retired. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There are some alternatives.   There  is a product called gFox from this place: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://www.cityc.co.uk/gfox/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.cityc.co.uk/gfox/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It actually has more features than hpterm and might be worth checking out if you need things like block mode. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The stuff mentioned in the previous email is just terminfo files.</description>
