An other question posted in this forum about ipcl and buffer got me looking at the command top in a RH9 linux I found out that this now has a new line like.

" 80876k actv, 304k in_d, 1928k in_c"

Does anybody knows what the in_d and in_c" stand for ? I think I can figure out what actv means .., but then perhaps I am jumping to conclutions

I look up the man but did not find it in there.

Any pointer(s) to more helfull doc(s) or explanation(s) will trigger hand full of points and many warm thanks

Jean-Pierre
