What is your systems time zone? /etc/localtime Its a binary file.

PDT. The timestamp in the squid log is in UTC.

I find a script to convert it but not sure how to use it. see below.

#! /usr/bin/perl -p
s/^\d+\.\d+/localtime $&/e;
