    <description>yes, you can append files to tar-file, but not to tape.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if you want to save data on tape, you need just add second (third, ...) tar at the end of tape &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Vitaly</description>
