I Use Linux Virtual Machine with Vmware. I would always go for vmware because since it started it supports Linux. MS supports linux on this version only. If you are evaluating a virtual machine software, consider testing vmware instead of MS Virtual Server, I'm not sure about the extensive support that you could get from MS when related to Linux guests.

I've successfully installed the above as a Virtual Machine with MS Windows 2003(Enterprise),with Virtual Server 2005 R2. I got the Virtual Machine Additions for Linux and am having a difficult time installing the addons. I did happen to get a beta copy from MS, but the beta was removed from the list of beta's on the Windows Connect page. Anyone had success with this? I'm really new to the Linux OS.

Sorry Melinda, it may not be the answer that you are looking for, but go to vmware.com, and download their virtual server SW. It's free, and will give you what you need.

-tjh

Shalom,

I also have done the install using VMWare, and have several version of Linux on my laptop.

Its stable and works.

I barely trust Windows production products, let alone betas.

SEP
