from RHEL5 beta release notes:

The installer requires entering a registration key in order to configure the repositories offered for installation. In this beta release, the registration code implementation is a stub and will accept a character combination that then is mapped to the repository selection. The required keys are:
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server
V ==> Virtualization
C ==> Clustering
S ==> ClusterStorage

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Client:
D ==> Desktop
W ==> Workstation
V ==> Virtualization
Thus, on a Server media kit, entering "SV" in the registration code dialog will activate the ClusterStorage and Virtualization repositories. If you use the client, you must always enter "D."

Shalom,

I think the problem is RH is not production software.

There are other reports of similar annoying behavior with RH 5.

I suggest waiting for the production version.

Also, as a new ITRC user, please consider the award of points to thank those that made efforts on your behalf.

Good Luck.

SEP

i don't recommend RHEL for production, it's extremely nasty designed system, furthermore and I really hate this feature, it's almost impossible to update (patch, upgrade, whatever) the system if you do not have access to internet (and rhn), the only way how to update isolated system is to do some nasty tweaks into up2date config file or buy another product from RH like RHN proxy or satellite server.
