I installed FC4 without any problems; however I notice that when It boots up the HDDs go crazy when the syslog service starts up. I did an interactive start up and did not start the service and it booted ok. When I check the /var/log/messages it shows a bunch of USB error messages.

localhost kernel :hub 5-2:1.0: USB Hub found
7 ports detected
USB Disconnect, address 88
hal.hotplug[26344] DEVPATH is not set (subsystem input)

And similar messaes all related to USB.

Any help would be GREATLY appreicated

Shalom,

Most likely cause here is not preparing the ML310 disk prior to install.

Most HP servers require you to boot of a support cd and set up disk prior to attempting install.

SEP
