      <title>Memory Parity Error</title>

      <description>Hey&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  Every time I shut my computer down I get the following error:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;***Hardware Malfunction***&lt;BR /&gt;Call your hardware vendor for support&lt;BR /&gt;NMI Parity check/Memory Parity Error&lt;BR /&gt;***  The System Has Halted  ***&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and i was just wondering if anyone knew what this error means.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks much&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mike</description>

      <description>It means the system has a problem with one of the memory chips. If this system provides any services you care about, have the memory checked and replace as called for.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>the memtest tool also comes with knoppix, so if you have that livecd available, it is a quick method for testing machines.</description>
