    <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The problem is that the following lines weren't in /etc/ntp.conf of the server:&lt;BR /&gt;server 127.127.1.0&lt;BR /&gt;fudge 127.127.1.0 stratum 10&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The problem was solved by hp support center.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have a nice day,&lt;BR /&gt;Max.</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm trying to set up time synchronization using ntp, but the clocks don't synchronize.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/ntp.conf on the server:&lt;BR /&gt;restrict default ignore&lt;BR /&gt;restrict 127.0.0.1&lt;BR /&gt;restrict a.b.c.0 mask 255.255.255.0 notrust nomodify notrap&lt;BR /&gt;driftfile /var/lib/ntp/drift&lt;BR /&gt;broadcastdelay 0.008&lt;BR /&gt;authenticate yes&lt;BR /&gt;keys /etc/ntp/keys&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/ntp.conf on the client:&lt;BR /&gt;restrict default ignore&lt;BR /&gt;restrict 127.0.0.1&lt;BR /&gt;restrict a.b.c.d mask 255.255.255.255 nomodify notrap noquery&lt;BR /&gt;server a.b.c.d&lt;BR /&gt;driftfile /var/lib/ntp/drift&lt;BR /&gt;broadcastdelay 0.008&lt;BR /&gt;authenticate yes&lt;BR /&gt;keys /etc/ntp/keys&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;after starting ntpd service on the client, the following is written in /var/log/messages:&lt;BR /&gt;ntpd 4.1.2@1.892 Tue Feb 24 06:32:25 EST 2004 (1)&lt;BR /&gt;precision = 6 usec&lt;BR /&gt;kernel time discipline status 0040&lt;BR /&gt;frequency initialized 0.000 from /var/lib/ntp/drift&lt;BR /&gt;ntpd startup succeeded&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the output of ntpq -p:&lt;BR /&gt;remote          refid    st  t  when  poll reach  delay  offset  jitter&lt;BR /&gt;===========================================================================&lt;BR /&gt;my.server.com   0.0.0.0  16  u  20    64       0      0.000  0.000   4000.00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;any ideas?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Max.</description>
