Hi,

My loader box composed of 1 drive with 16 slots for media.

Can you tell me about "mtx"?

Some isolation I made (but still won't work )are the ff:

1. I add the append="max_scsi_luns=2" line to the end of the grub configuration file /etc/grub.conf.

2. I also enable the option "Probe all LUNs" in the SCSI subsystem configuration from linux kernel using "make xconfig".

3. From adaptec BIOS: I just enabled multi LUN support.

Hi there,

I know this is more storage issue, but would you mind to share with me your linux expertise on how to configure (properly)my SSL1016 superloader tape on linux machine (RH ent. 2.4.21-15)

I add some lines both from grub.conf and "/etc/modules.conf file" but when I use "cat /proc/scsi/scsi" still the output only banners as single device.

Any idea?

How many drives are actually in the tape loader? 1?

Generally so. What you probably need is the 'mtx' tool so you can manage what the loader it's self does (there should be an entry in /proc/scsi/scsi to reference the loader, on a /dev/sg? device node).
