I'm trying to install redhat 8.0 on Poweredge 1750.Since I want to use network installation over NFS-I'm booting from floppy (redhat boot floppy) and after typing in appropriate place "linux dd" I can insert the diskette with drivers and to select to best one for me.
I choose tg3 (I got it from lsmod on working machine of the same type with the same nics).
It seems to load the driver and then I get the screen of installation methods again , and if I choose AGAIN nfs method I get AGAIN list of drivers and so on....
When I try to do the installation of redhat 9 -no problem, but I need 8.0 and I don't want to use CDs for installation.
Is there a way to boot from image diskette of redhat9 and to connect to tree of 8.0?

The process for building a network boot diskette is slightly different for RH8 versus RH9.

You have to have a diffferent boot image file.

You aren't using the same diskette are you? If so, you need to make a RH8 diskette specifically.

SEP
