    <description>I think you may have asked this in another forum?  Short answer - you cannot create 32-bit native IPF (IA64) binaries under Linux, only HP-UX.  32-bit under Linux is x86 - a cross-compile and then an emulated binary.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Longer answer in that other forum.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi All.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have RHEL 3.0 installed on IA64 machine&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am currently using gcc version 3.2.3&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would like to compile 32-bits sources.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What should I do?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@illnx64 root]# gcc -v&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/ia64-redhat-linux/3.2.3/specs&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Configured with: ../configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;--disable-checking --with-system-zlib --enable-__cxa_atexit --host=ia64-redhat-linux Thread model: posix&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;gcc version 3.2.3 20030502 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-24)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;Best Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
