H.P. LaserJet 1000 drivers

As of now Linux(SuSE 8.1-9.1)does not support my H.P. LaserJet 1000(printer drivers)printer. Is there any Linux dist besides Linspire 4.5 that support this printer? I even tried SuSE's generic printer drivers to no avail! ANY advice would be much appreciated!! K.

On a Fedora Core 2 I used printerconf-gui to configure a LaserJet 1000.

I do not own this type of printer ! so can not send a test page to it !

I used Cups for the printer environment.

My guess is you should also find this for SuSE ..

Tell me if you need mode info.

http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=HP-LaserJet_1000 has a pointer to a driver for the Laserjet 1000 under Linux.
