topic HP's Linux Support? in Operating System - Linux

Can someone describe or point me to some information that lists what's included in HP's Linux support? Does it tie into Redhat support at all or is it completely independent.

- Does it include access to "Redhat Network" for errata, software updates?

- Any feedback on the Linux support?

We currently have the HP hw/sw support and have had excellent results. We are about to purchase new DL series servers with Redhat. HP Linux support can be bundled with the purchase but I need to find out more about what that support is.

Thanks,
Masaki

I have not used HP Linux support.

I have over the past few years met several people that do Linux support for the Atlanta and other support centers.

They are top notch people, know their stuff and the calls are handled in the same professional way that anyone with a software service contract handles calls. Some of them are the same people that handle HP-UX calls.

As far as the details, that would be best asked of your local HP representitive.

SEP

you will buy redhat support through hp.
So redhat will support the OS (depends on what level of support you buy).
HP will support the HW...

Hi

We have many of the HP Servers which have HP contract for Hardware and the OS support is by RedHat . Also depends on the type of contract you have with the vendors.

Rgds

Gopi
