My school district just purchased 71 TC1100's for the staff and so far in week we have 2 confirmed non-working and 1 more possible. One user reported a blue screen of sorts and then the tablet shut off. When it comes back on I have seen it do several things, none of which make me have warm and fuzzies. On 2 occasions it beeped 3 times; a couple of times it showed only a flashing underscore in the top right corner (HP logo facing bottom); a couple of times it did nothing, no hdd spinnup, no video, nothing; one constant has been always a blank screen and the appearance of death. Tried removing battery, tried running on AC only, tried removing HDD, tried removing HDD and battery at same time... no luck with anything. Any ideas or suggestions?

This sounds familiar to me as well. It seems to be worse when I have extra memory in it, but it happens even without additional memory.
