rx2600 linux lanconsole problem

I have a linux rx2600 machine I have installed suse linux on this machine .I can Access this machine using lan but cannot access this machine using lanconsole.When I login to this machine and enter coat MP> prompt i get following screen and cannot proceed after that.Here the screen

Hi

set the TERM to vt100 (export TERM=vt100) you must get login after you entered 'co' (console) on the terminal

still same problem .Tried export TERM=vt100
