We have intalled RedHat Linux 7.3 on ML 350 machine. It gives error messages while booting. Disk read/writes are extremely slow.

What do these errors mean?

I think you have a disk on the edge. I'd get a backup of data and then check the hardware. It might also be generatted by damaged cabling or a flakey SCSI card.

Did you use HP drivers to install RH7.3 ? If no, I guess cciss driver is the pb.

=> Software - Driver Diskettes
=> Driver Diskette image for...Smart Array 5i...

Follow the procedure to create the image disk. Boot your install CD, and at the first prompt type "linux dd"
