      <description>The usual method to start the gui fron a console on most linux is&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;startx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this should triger the gui &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;note this will start the default Window manager this could be kde,gnome, "bluecurve".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can change this using the command &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;switchdesk &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have fun &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jean-Pierre Huc</description>

      <description>You may need to run xconfigurator first so that X knows what kind of monitor and other relavent hardware you have.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
