    <description>hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have just purchased 4 DL380 Servers with 2x72GB and 4x18GB HDD Drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;The problem I have is that the SmartArray Controller for the 2x72GB works well but the extra bought Smart Array Controller 6400, which is for the 4x18GB Drives, doesn't work.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have already read&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=551132" target="_blank"&gt;http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=551132&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but this doesn't solve the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tried with kernel versions 2.4.27 and 2.6.7.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>The DL380 and other HP/Compaq servers have a special boot disk for setting up smart arrays. Prior to installing Linux you must boot off this cd, and set up the array. Then you can do the Linux installation.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>well, it wasn't a software problem.&lt;BR /&gt;The controller itself was broken, on the other 3 Servers it works well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks anyway.</description>
