Installing Mandrake On Compaq Presario & Drivers

Hey

I have a compaq presario laptop computer (2100). I am in my final year of school. I am going to try to do some programming within linux. I want to install it onto my laptop and get it running.

Also i need to find the drivers that are compatible with the laptop.. can anyone please help me.
