thanks stuart, i'd found those as well (been trawling the net for the last week); like you say, not happy reading at the moment.
Its a nice piece of kit, but if we can't get it working - we wont be buying any of them (currently got 2 on loan from HP).

I've got other irons in the fire, so hopefully might get some responses.

again, thanks for the reply, even though it wasnt good news :-(

I have loaded linux (Fedora core 1, and experimented with both 2.4.25 and 2.6.4 kernels) onto a tc1100 tablet, but am having trouble getting the pen to work

in windows it shows up as a serial port, irq 4, address 0x300 (hanging off the Intel 82801DBM LPC Interface Controller).

I've tried setserial but this does not work.

Any ideas?

Some URLS (which probably won't make you happy):

http://www.theory.bham.ac.uk/staff/schofield/linux/tc1100/
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=3656333&forum_id=19621
http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_id=3666261&forum_id=19621

The WacomLinux Sourceforge project (where the last two come from) is probably the best to watch, as they seem to have a decent grasp on what's going on.

It seems as if you've gotten as far as they have.

Unfortunately, the one of these we have at the office I can't put linux on it (co-workers would get very distressed), so can't help more than this :(

Sorry.
