      <description>Hi &lt;BR /&gt;I have a remote printer installed with my Redhat Linux 6.2 Box and i am having an issue...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is the remote printer entry in /etc/printcap File:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;LASER9|:\&lt;BR /&gt;        :sd=/print/laser9:\&lt;BR /&gt;        :rm=10.9.14.10:\&lt;BR /&gt;        :rp=raw:\&lt;BR /&gt;        :lp=/dev/null:\&lt;BR /&gt;        :sh:\&lt;BR /&gt;        :if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am able to telnet:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# telnet 10.9.14.10 515&lt;BR /&gt;Trying 10.9.14.10...&lt;BR /&gt;Connected to 159.96.14.170.&lt;BR /&gt;Escape character is '^]'.&lt;BR /&gt;quit&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When i give a &lt;BR /&gt;# lpr -PLASER9 /etc/group&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it is not ptinting....&lt;BR /&gt;My /var/log/messages says after sometime....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;LASER9: lost connection&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Some one help me...&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;Vijay</description>

      <description>I resolved it myself...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I removed the old printer software and installed a new and updated LPR and RHS-printfilters&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is there a way to assign points myself &lt;BR /&gt;;)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Vijay</description>

      <description>Vijay, &lt;BR /&gt;  I think here the case matters. Solpr -Plaser9 should work as there will not be a spool directory by name "LASER9". &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Madhu</description>
