Printer LPR Issue

Hi
I have a remote printer installed with my Redhat Linux 6.2 Box and i am having an issue...

This is the remote printer entry in /etc/printcap File:

LASER9|:\
:sd=/print/laser9:\
:rm=10.9.14.10:\
:rp=raw:\
:lp=/dev/null:\
:sh:\
:if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter:

I am able to telnet:

# telnet 10.9.14.10 515
Trying 10.9.14.10...
Connected to 159.96.14.170.
Escape character is '^]'.
quit

When i give a
# lpr -PLASER9 /etc/group

it is not ptinting....
My /var/log/messages says after sometime....

LASER9: lost connection

Some one help me...

I resolved it myself...

I removed the old printer software and installed a new and updated LPR and RHS-printfilters

is there a way to assign points myself

I will answer your second question !, no there is no way to assign point to yourself, you get the pleasure of beating everyone to answer your own question !! ain't that nice !...

Now should the above be to much and if you need to assign point please considere,my reply to your second question :-D

I think here the case matters. Solpr -Plaser9 should work as there will not be a spool directory by name "LASER9".
