Hi all,

I have tried to install the Secure Path for Linux 3.0 WorkGroup Edition in a Redhat AS 2.1 box. After the rpm is installed and reboot, the system hang in the rc.sysinit script and prompted that path_mod.o will taint the kernel: no license.
Did anyone experience this problem or have idea to solve the problem?
I guess this driver is not suitable for our kernel but I have already followed the instruction in the installation guide to install the correct kernel. My kernel version is 2.4.9-e.12smp

Thanks
Tony

Yes, thanks for your advise.
As you said, we have added the "-f" option to force loading the driver today and
seems success.
But I have faced another problem today, we have installed the secure path and we have configured it. But when we tried to detached the fibre cable. The server reboot abnormally.
Also, does anyone know if this version of secure path supports Redhat Cluster Manager?

Thanks
Tony

I suggest you to check with RH support, may be RH AS already provides similar (to Secure Patch) functionality?

Vitaly

I think securepath should work transparently from the Cluster manager, since cluster manager only treats the device file as a single disk, and secure-path presents only one device to the OS even if it has to paths to the physical device.

Oh, and you need to contact HP support regarding problems with Securepath.

Rgds Jarle
Dear all,

Thanks for your recommendation! I have solved the problem by replacing the latest driver.
(This driver is just released to solve the problem on Secure Path!)

Best regards,
Tony
