      <description>hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is the memory actually there. does bios detect and can u see it in the boot up message / dmesg or /var/log/messages.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cat /proc/meminfo to see the memory.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and finally try if this helps.
