Sign up for Red Hats automatic update program.

Log onto your machine in X windows and run the update utility.

Better yet,

Upgrade to 7.3(watch out for chroot ftp happening) and then update the system.

Its always a bad idea to stay at 7.1 when there is a 7.3 out there.

The last release in the series is the stable release.

sEP

I see an error like that when my nfs client can't reach the nfs server, usually when there are network problems or when the nfs server machine is down and the client didn't unmount the service before. When the server becomes up or the network problem is fixed, everything restarts working
(I'm speaking about two RH73 machines).

Maybe there were a problem in the nfs client-server communication in the past hours, so that message was printed.

CC

Hello!

You can download the newest rpm of nfs
but better to upgrate your 7.1
because that version old and since came a lot
of fixes to OS so check to upgrate to RH 9.

Caesar
