metalink.oracle.com is a support site for people with support contracts with Oracle. Access to patches and support calls costs bucks.

There is a imitation of itrc over there but I don't know whether that requires a contract to access it.

otn.oracle.com lets you download software on a trail basis. Though Oracle is sometimes slow about it or doesn't bother, most patches are eventually built into releases and put out there for free download.

To run an oracle production environment costs $40,000 per CPU no matter what the OS is. That's just for the database.

SEP

I have come across a vulnerability that says to download patchsets from http://metalink.oracle.com/ I have registered a few days ago but they never mail a password to get in. Has anybody else had a problem with this site before or know of another place to obtain patchsets? Thanks in advance.

Kyle
