      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;First &amp;amp; foremost, I'm very new to Linux.I'm facing this problem with my RedHat8 where the keyboard would just hanged ie. not responding, even the num lock led won't response. The mouse on the other hand works fine, I can open new terminal, etc.&lt;BR /&gt;Anybody face this problem or know what cause this.       <description>Need to know your server model as well as the keyboard model.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have another server to test with then attach and test the keyboard there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The keyboard on a PC is controlled by the BIOS, which is on the Motherboard.  What is the model of the Motherboard?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It???s possible that a keyboard driver or BIOS upgrade is in order, but usually in this case 90% of the keyboard is working.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In this case, you've got 100% failure and that is either a bad connection or a bad keyboard.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
