Hi, I just installed linux by creating a bootable Slackware CD-ROM. I am not trying to figure out exactly which drivers I should use for the S3 Twister Chipset in Xfree? I am using a generic VESA driver currently. Also, can I just specify 32,768K for video ram when it asks in xf86config? Also I was wondering which audio driver to use in the kernel configuration. Thanks, I appreciate it!

Change the "Device" section to:
Driver "savage"

I don't have the specs for the 1170, but I assume it also has the via82C686 chipset.
