    <description>Some advice that does not require points.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Every time I messed with this stuff after installation I ended up reinstalling the OS.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The only hope for me as a HP-UX geek is lvm.  The reports on that are mixed as some have reported problems with that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd really have a good backup because cfdisk and fdisk are the tools I used to blow up two systems.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steve</description>

      <description>Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How do I redefine partitions in Linux. I already have file systems created and now need to redefine them to a bigger size. Any help is greatly appreciated.</description>

      <description>You could also look at the 'parted' command (Partition Editor).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It allows you to re-size into freespace etc. etc.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Read the documentation before doing anything though, and make sure you have a backup!</description>

      <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cfdisk is NOT a good idea if you want to keep your data available.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may use PowerQuest partition magic (&lt;A href="http://www.powerquest.com)" target="_blank"&gt;www.powerquest.com)&lt;/A&gt; or equivalents.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;After partitions are resized, you may need to resize filesystems using resize2fs or another utility that corresponds to your filesystem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good luck.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kodjo&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
