Telnet logging

How can I config the telnetd or other programe to record all the activities
that someone typed into the telnet client session? So that I can playback what did the user done before.

in.telnetd has a debug mode which may do what you want:

in.telnetd -D netdata

Hi Ron,

Seems that "in.telnetd -D netdata" can capture those information. But when I set the option "-D netdata" to the "telnet" inside the /etc/xinetd.d/, after reboot it, the telnet seem cannot be started. Why ??
Also, where is the captured information be stored?

how did you add -D option int the config file?

On my RH7.1, I added
server_args = -D netdata
just one line after server = /usr/sbin/in.telnetd

After I restarted xinetd, still I could telnet to the RH7.1.

But what I see the result of -D option, I don't think this is what you are looking for..
Just try.
