      <description>Hi, I can't see linuxconf in my new RH7.1 server. I downloaded the OS from RH web site and burnt on the CD.Has it been replaced by some other utility in this version or I have to install it seperately. Any ideas....&lt;BR /&gt;TIA&lt;BR /&gt;Vikas</description>

      <description>Linuxconf is deprecated, and it may disappear from future distributions (it didn't work out as well as its creators hoped).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd suggest that y'all give Webmin (&lt;A href="http://www.webmin.com" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.webmin.com&lt;/A&gt; ) a try. Webmin is configurable via any browser, and it doesn't seem to share linuxconf's propensity to change settings where it shouldn't.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Additionally, Webmin lets you add Webmin users with limited authority (I set up one customer with a "shutdown" account, so she could shut down the Linux box if she needed to).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anyway, it's free, and cool.  Give it a try!</description>
