This was strange behaviour indeed. I set the disk to master and reloaded linux. I haven't installed linux in a few years and they've made it so simple now its almost confusing.

I've installed SuSE 7.1. On reboot when the machine gets to "verifying dmpi pool" it starts displaying 0101010101...etc. without stopping. I cant break out..noting. I'm thinking this is a boot sector/lilo issue. Is there a way to recreate the boot sector from linux? Any ideas?

Thanks.
