Depending on your Linux distribution, you can find the general documentation in /usr/share/doc/packages/samba/htmldocs, or /usr/share/doc/samba/... or /usr/doc/samba/...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To begin with "simple" samba client features, try to read the following manpages :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;man nmblookup&lt;BR /&gt;man smbclient&lt;BR /&gt;man smbmount&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Good luck&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Kodjo&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;P.S.       <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I can't do very simple with smbclient:&lt;BR /&gt;With given IP address how could be found the NetBIOS name of a host.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Under Windows this is possible with:&lt;BR /&gt;nbtstat -A ip_adress&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks,&lt;BR /&gt;Rumen</description>
