      <title>Linux/Mandrake and Conexant softK56</title>

      <description>Hi, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Has anyone been able to get the Conexant 56K Modem in the HP8660C to work with &lt;BR /&gt;Linux Mandrake?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have a feeling its a Win Modem, which the Linux OS does not like using &lt;BR /&gt;(Drivers are Windows type)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Karl</description>

      <description>This is indeed a WinModem (hence 'soft'56k).  I know of no way to get this &lt;BR /&gt;modem working under Linux.</description>
