      <description>Hi, linuxuser&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When I try to export the HPUX application CD in linux and export via NFS to machine locate in a room far far away. In linux the cd is viewable. In HP the exported dir is mountable but there is nothing visible.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank's at all&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Eberard</description>

      <description>Most flavors of Linux lock down access to disk devices&lt;BR /&gt;like cdroms.  If the user id you are exporting as &lt;BR /&gt;doesn't have the appropriate access.  root is usually&lt;BR /&gt;the owner, and the group is usually a special group&lt;BR /&gt;like floppy, audio, tape, or disk.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try opening up access to the cdrom device with&lt;BR /&gt;a command like chmod 666 /dev/cdrom.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
