Modified file with five letters

I noticed that the file name with four letters will modify in the NFS client, but beyond four letters it doesn't work. For an instance if I modify the file name tttt, then it updates in the Server A. But when I modify with the filename ttttt, then server A doesn't work. I mean can't see the changed file on Server A.

Any solution will get highest points....

I don't think that the file name should be related. Try exporting with the sync parameter. Also, Â¿what NFS version is using the nfs server and client?

Ivan, Thank you for the response, sorry about the delay. I noticed that the modified file is actually seen if I cat or vi or more but the filesize doesn't appear to be same before I do though. Once I touch, vi, cat or more that file, then if I do ls -al then the modified file size is showing.

I see in messages file like the ntpd: sendto(time.nyst.gov): Bad file descriptor

What do you think the issue is?

Okay, I fixed the bad descriptor issue but still the file size doesn't change for the modified file in NFS.
