Hello, i have à probléme withe my desktop hp dc 5800, when i try to install the kernel linux-image-2.6.18-4-686 whith my network, the machine cant get drivers networks.
Can you help me please
i have 800 machines desktop in the network, and i toc the same probléme :(

Check what is your NIC card and run installer in expert mode.

Boot into the kernel anyway and do an 'lspci -v' to get at what Ethernet controller is being used in this machine. Load the appropriate driver by doing a 'modprobe ' and then start networking.

I installed Ubuntu whit kernel 2.6.27-7-generic in the HP dc5800,

The result of 'lspci -v' is
Intel Corporation 82567LM-3
Thats what i dont have in networks drivers in the distribution Linux-image-2.6.18-4-686

'modprobe '
eexpress.ko
eepro.ko
e2100.ko
e1000e/e1000e.ko
e1000/e1000.ko
e100.ko

Withe de Debian linux-image-2.6.18-4-686 i dont know how to integrate the drivers in this distribution.
