    <description>i have installed centos 5.3 kernel 2.6.18-128.1.4.el5 on a DL380 G5 server&lt;BR /&gt;when the install its done i try to ping my gateway (192.168.0.1) but it says destination host unreachable&lt;BR /&gt;i run ethtool eth0 it's says&lt;BR /&gt;Supported oprts: [ TP ]&lt;BR /&gt;Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10BaseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full&lt;BR /&gt;Supports auto-negotiation: Yes&lt;BR /&gt;Advertised link Modes: 10baseT/Half 10BaseT/Full 100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full&lt;BR /&gt;Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes&lt;BR /&gt;Speed: Unknown! (65535)&lt;BR /&gt;Duplex: Unknown! (255)&lt;BR /&gt;Port Twisted Pair&lt;BR /&gt;PHYAD: 1&lt;BR /&gt;Transceiver: internal&lt;BR /&gt;Auto-negotiation: on&lt;BR /&gt;Supports Wake-on: g&lt;BR /&gt;Wake-on: d&lt;BR /&gt;Link detected: no&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i dont know why it says not link detected, i try it connecting to a dlink router (192.168.0.1) directly and its linking, i try with another DL380 G5 server installing the same OS and gives me the same problem&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can somebody help me&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tomas</description>

      <description>in the new kernel centos or RHEL change the interfaces&lt;BR /&gt;eth1 is the one above and eth0 is the one below&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Anyways&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks</description>
