      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;A clean Lenny 64 install but I'm having trouble getting the NIC to behave.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ifconfig all set, lspci details card as....&lt;BR /&gt;lspci | grep Ethernet output ......&lt;BR /&gt;05:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Device 10c9 (rev 01)&lt;BR /&gt;05:00.1 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Device 10c9 (rev 01) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and &lt;BR /&gt;only lines in dmesg | grep eth0 .......&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[    9.266589] igb 0000:05:00.0: eth0: (PCIe:2.5Gb/s:Width x4) 00:24:81:e1:4e:fc&lt;BR /&gt;[    9.266589] igb 0000:05:00.0: eth0: PBA No: ffffff-0ff &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do I need updated drivers...?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You might try updated drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You might also boot the system with a hardware diganostic or the nvram based diagnostics and make sure the NIC cards are working correctly.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>I continue to struggle with this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I've tried Squeeze (testing) and still run into the same trouble, although this time the NIC is    &lt;BR /&gt;identified as Intel Corporation 82576 Gigabit Network Connection.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I may have to try another OS if I can't resolve this soon.</description>

      <description>What exactly is the problem you are having? The dmesg strings don't look bad, per se.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are you getting tracebacks? Is dhcp not responding? Does manually configuring it work? etc..</description>
