Shalom,

Most of these boxes are Linux.

The supported OS' are windows and Mac OS. That means btw that Linux can use it if the samba client is installed.

There are linux distributions designed to specifically support this type of box.

This one appears to be windows based due to its lack of NFS support.

I have a similar device in my home from Buffalo. It is Linux based and does support NFS shares.

My answer is based on deduction and experience.

I ordered this box.

OS is linux:

storage> uname -a
Linux storage 2.4.22-uc0 #458 Tue Apr 3 01:09:49 CST 2007 ppc unknown

but it doesn't support ssh and nfs by default.

after some hacks I've gotten ssh and nfs running on this box.
