Hi

Last one week i am facing problem in connecting yahoo messenger server . i was able to connect and chat propperly using squid but now iam not ,

is there any patch released for squid .please help

first of all, are you able to use any other service squid is offering(broswing the web for example)?
are you able to ping squid maschine?(Traceroute to find where the flow is blocked).
are you able to access yahoo messenger other way...(not using squid)?

prob, u ve got a soln. by now,

but just in case,

Yahoo msgr. does not work well via proxy..

u may get connected, but voice will not work.

Have you checked whether the Squid proxy authentication mechanism is preventing or conflicting with the Yahoo Messenger scheme?
Do verify that the required ports are open.
