    <description>Please, can you explain a little better, for example:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'm on server1 and I cannot ping server2. I can ping server2 from another machines but I cannot ping server1.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;As stated above, stop the firewall:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;service iptables stop&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ensure that your ip address/network mask configuration is correct.</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Iam not able to ping to a server for another one.&lt;BR /&gt;i have all the host entries for the other machine,even nslookup is resolving the IP but Iam not able to ping this server.&lt;BR /&gt;Iam able to ping this machine from another machines.....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;anyone please help me out...its urgent.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thanks in advance&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rgds ,&lt;BR /&gt;ricky</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please check if firewall is enabled on it..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#iptables -A&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if enabled, flush out the firewall..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#iptables -F&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For more information see man firewall..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cheers&lt;BR /&gt;indrajit</description>

      <description>Can you post a traceroute of the route that won't let the ping through?  I'd be willing to bet that your default route isn't set right on the source machine...</description>
