RH on a Novell network

Hi all:

I am going to be loading a RH Linux (Fedora Core 2) and connecting to a Novell network, including the Groupwise mail client. I have no experience with Novell networks. What do I need to be aware of when connecting my Linux to the Novell Network? What about the mail?

Depends what version of novell.

The current versions use TCP/IP and there isn't a whole lot to know or care about.

If its an older Novell network they may use the IPX network protocol and you need to install those componeents into Fedora. Though I think that functionality is still built in, or is one checkbox in the install program.

You are correct. Older versions would require IPX.

Also top note is the use of ncpfs if you want to mount up the Novell directories. Otherwise just setup as TCP/IP and it should work.
