Hi,
I am trying to set up Suse 9.1 on nc6000 laptops with Broadcom 57XX(05 I think) gigabit ethernet card. I am having problems connecting to the
network. I get an IP address but I can't ping to any machine. I can ping to the gateway and it just works fine but not to any other machine. I have a
tg3 driver loaded up and I have tried changing the speed, duplex and autoneg options but with no success. I have tried with same with the bcm5700
again with no success. I am not sure if this is a quirk in software or hardware or both. I was wondering if you could provide any pointers for this.
Thanks

Hello bath,

If your system is able to ping to the gateway then there will not be problem with the Network drivers.
* What is your networking setup?
* Is the Gateway presents in the same network as the other IP address which you are trying to ping?

If the IP's which you are tyring to ping is not present in the local network in which your system presents, then check your route settings of your system.

Regards,
Senthil Murugan
