      <description>A check of google found &lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/lspci -v&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It's not bad but it doesn't show disks.  It a bit like Solaris prtdiag.</description>

      <description>Not that I know, but &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Under the /proc directory you will find all sort of information about loaded device and much more try &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cat /proc/scsi/scsi&lt;BR /&gt;cat /proc/iomem&lt;BR /&gt;cat /proc/irq&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;etc..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just be cautious about writing in /proc specialy if you are priviledged.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;J-P</description>

      <description>Thanks for the responses so far.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Actually, I was more looking for something to find out whether or not the machine can see and use devices such as LUNs on a dis array when I connect it to a fibre channel switch and put the WWN of its FC adapter into a storage zone.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Bernhard</description>

      <description>I just checked out hwscan and hwinfo under suse. Very very useful. I haven't tried it under any other distro though. I just thought I'd add in in case you were looking at using SuSE.</description>
