Thanks!,
So far I've found NOT to install HP's binding kernel module. My SuSE8 2.4.21-215 systems don't have it loaded according to lsmod. #modprobe bonding reports lot-o-grief from "ismod". I'll have to figure out how to get this loaded persistantly first before the config issues.

Is my understanding that this Linux style bonding will load balance across cards like OEM/TRU64 "LAG" correct?

I'm BSD/TRU64/etc,etc fluent from 1980 on just need to hack through this implementation till I learn these Linux particulars!

Stephens,

I don't know TRU64 LAG but I think that bonding will do load balance and high-availability as you need.

If you face problems to install and load bonding module, please get in touch. I never used that before but I think will not be dificult to find the way to get bonding persistently loaded.

regards,
xyko
