    <description>Hi there hope you can help me out here.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have an RX2600 server with two A7061A Gigabit Tx lan card that I wish to bond with Redhat AS 3 update 3.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;By default, the cards use the tg3 driver and load correctly and can ping other devices on the network.  I then use the Redhat supplied bonding driver (Could not find one from HP for the RX2600 server) and create the bond - all seems to be ok and I can ping the bond with no troubles.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If I then remove a cable from a nic in the bond, I can see in /var/log/messages references to the nic being offline and the bond switching to the other nic.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My issue comes in that the bond does not appear to be "stable" in that most of the time it takes minutes for the client "ping" test to work and pick up the switch over.  For testing purposes, all systems/nics being used are into a single Procurve 2724.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Of course, sometimes it work very well and maybe all I loose is just a single packet.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now being a little experimental, I have compiled the bcm57xx driver and bonding driver from the source files that I have used on my Linux DL380 servers and again I can build the bond all OK, but I get the same results.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Has anybody managed to create stable bonds on the RX2600 servers?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for any help&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mark</description>

      <description>hi Mark,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;as SEP suggested, it also depends on the heartbeat settings in your config file. you can get further help of SEP in this regard.</description>
