      <description>I've goten some probolem from bonding config&lt;BR /&gt;the module.conf&lt;BR /&gt;-----------------------&lt;BR /&gt;alias eth0 bcm5700&lt;BR /&gt;alias eth1 bcm5700&lt;BR /&gt;alias bond0 bonding&lt;BR /&gt;options bonding mode=1 primary=eth1 miimon=100&lt;BR /&gt;------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;when I restart network service, I just saw some error message from dmesg:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;bond0: released all slaves&lt;BR /&gt;ip_tables: (C) 2000-2002 Netfilter core team&lt;BR /&gt;ip_tables: (C) 2000-2002 Netfilter core team&lt;BR /&gt;bond_enslave(): MII and ETHTOOL support not available for interface eth0, and ar&lt;BR /&gt;p_interval/arp_ip_target module parameters not specified, thus bonding will not&lt;BR /&gt;detect link failures! see bonding.txt for details.&lt;BR /&gt;bond0: enslaving eth0 as an active interface with an up link.&lt;BR /&gt;bond_enslave(): MII and ETHTOOL support not available for interface eth1, and ar&lt;BR /&gt;p_interval/arp_ip_target module parameters not specified, thus bonding will not&lt;BR /&gt;detect link failures! see bonding.txt for details.&lt;BR /&gt;bond0: enslaving eth1 as a backup interface with an up link.&lt;BR /&gt;bcm5700: eth0 NIC Link is UP, 100 Mbps full duplex&lt;BR /&gt;bcm5700: eth1 NIC Link is UP, 100 Mbps full duplex&lt;BR /&gt;--------------------&lt;BR /&gt;I use ethtool to see the information about eth0&lt;BR /&gt;# ethtool -i eth0&lt;BR /&gt;driver: bcm5700&lt;BR /&gt;version: 7.1.9c&lt;BR /&gt;firmware-version:&lt;BR /&gt;bus-info: 01:02.0&lt;BR /&gt;-----------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;How do I config my module.conf file?? :(</description>

      <description>FYI, I ran into this same issue with RHEL 3.0.  I was able to solve it by NOT installing the HP-supplied bonding driver.  Once I went back to using the built-in kernel bonding.o driver (which required reinstalling some packages since the HP RPM doesn't uninstall gracefully!) , everything worked beautifully.</description>
