      <description>Winmodems will not work in Linux without the installation of additional drivers.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Even then, there may be issues.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Its not Linux, its a deal Microsoft made with the modem crowd.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In the end, I just won't put a winmodem in a Linux box.  That way, I get good auto detect and configuration.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;P</description>
